Volume Five
Welcome

Man are we tickled !  Our new record "CHILDREN OF THE MOUNTAIN" is #2 in the country this month according to Bluegrass Music Profiles Magazine!  If you have Sirius/XM radio or just about any other radio then you have probably heard a song or two from the new recording. Our first record, "Down In A Cell" is still popping up on other charts once in a while too !

Our other big news is we've decided on our new guitar player/singer to replace Adam who left the band a few weeks ago to go back to school.  We proudly welcome Colby Laney.  Colby is a recent graduate of ETSU and has been one of the founding members of fellow Mountain Fever Records artists, The Troubadours.

Don't forget
to sign our Guestbook and Mailing List so that we can let you know when we are going to be in your area. Thanks again from Volume Five!

Well Folks Good morning to you in the Bluegrass World. Last week Volume Five toured the great state of Arkansas. We played at the Mountain View Arts Center. WOW this was a great festival. We saw old friends and made some new ones. We would like to thank everyone at Mountain View for such a great time. We are gearing up this week heading to Texas to play. This could be a great one!

Volume Five recently welcomed  Mr. Patton Wages. Patton is one of the most sought after banjo players on the bluegrass circuit both in the studio and on the road and has played with several of the highest profile acts in this type of music. We recently played our first two shows with Patton as a part of the band on April 8th in Leaksville, MS at the Two Rivers Bluegrass Festival and then on the 10th at Everett's Music Barn in Suwanee, GA.  The shows went great and we were able to book more shows while we were gone!! Patton is very excited and the band is tickled to death to have him.

Volume Five would like to send out a special thanks to Steve and Michele
Smith of Wordsouth publication in Rainsville Alabama. Steve and Michele have helped us more than they could ever know by taking the best pictures and designing the best artwork we could ever ask for. Thanks Wordsouth and GodBless You!

Congratulations to Our Mandolin Player Jesse Daniel for finishing runnerup in the prestigious Merlefest Mandolin contest, winning a Gibson Mandolin and a slot in next years contest!

We would like to thank everyone who has purchased our CD. It really helps us get up and down the road. We would also like to thank all the folks for the kind words about the CD.  We are currently finishing up our follow-up CD and hope that people will like it as well as they have liked the first one.  We are definitely proud of it. We hope to see everyone out at our next show, and we encourage everyone to be on the lookout for Volume Five. God Bless!
